Summer Live Wedding Illustration at Halton Grove, Northumberland

In July, I had the pleasure of illustrating at the beautiful wedding of Nicole and Chris, held at the stunning Halton Grove wedding venue in Northumberland. It was my very first time working at this venue, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. With its gorgeous gardens for an outdoor ceremony and a rustic barn for the wedding breakfast, it created a magical backdrop for their celebration.

Nicole and Chris chose my Platinum Live Wedding Illustration package, which includes a keepsake book containing copies of all the guest illustrations, along with a few extra touches like sketches of their cake and floral details. It’s such a special way to preserve the memories of the day, and I absolutely loved curating their book once all the illustrations were complete.

Like many couples, Nicole and Chris weren’t sure whether their guests would be interested in being drawn—but they certainly were! Live illustration proved to be a huge hit, with almost every guest asking for a portrait.

I sketched continuously throughout the day, adding to the entertainment and sparking so many lovely conversations. With more guests than I could complete on the spot, I finished the remaining portraits afterwards in my studio, before scanning everything and designing their bespoke keepsake book. The finished result is a beautiful collection of memories for Nicole and Chris to treasure.

It was such a joy to illustrate for this lovely couple and be part of their day!
